Marilore
“Little” Louie Vega revives his Hardrive alter ego for another go-round of fine house. And while there’s no disputing the quality of the work, I can’t help but feel that some of the soul that made Masters at Work something really special has dissipated. Not entirely, of course -- there’s still plenty in “Living in the Future” –- but “Never Forget (When You Touch Me)” is an anonymous piece of diva house. The instrumentals show more of that old spark, but not quite enough to elevate it above the now-crowded fray.
