Having been a long time Promo maniac, this stands as one of his finest pieces of production. He has the unique ability of mixing light and dark elements in his tracks and has the uncanny trick of being hard yet melodic at the same time. A skill that other 'harder' producers have lost in a haze of distortion and lazy industrial crunch or simply never possessed in the first place. I do have to disagree with the previous reviewer and state that Still Got It (A1) with its Mohammed Ali samples is a woofer-melting monster and for me the title track My Claim To Fame (B1) is still a favourite of mine long after other monotonous and safe productions have been forgotten. As a Promo EP this is a must and each of the four bangers on it has an indefinable aura that keeps you comin' back for more...

As djcarnage's comment said, this was Promos last release with his old melodic style. His recent love for industrial has influenced him to change his styles. Tracks 1-2 are his old melodic style, while 2-3 are are close to his new industrial style. Lost In The Bush is a real powerful track sampling an old classic Fear Factory track. This track is quite similar to 'Hear This Cry' which Sebastian produced in memory of 3 Steps Ahead.

I bought this release because i buy everything thats released on thirdmovement these days. but to be honest, i'm entirely disappointed this time - it reminds me of the days when hardcore was made of nothing more than sampled vocals, claps, 4/4 drumbeats and tones sounding like distorted "trumpets". it just sounds "outdated" to me. as always theres a little exception. track b2 is quite a banger and reflects promos todays production style nicely. keep going sebastian !!!!

For his fans, Promo returned to his old style for this last time. The A-Side and B1 are produced in the old "File style". The serie of releases of which Promo gained most of his success and popularity. I must say that he still knows the trick, though the A1 isn't my favourite, for these kind of tracks you really have to go back to tracks like What the Fuck and Vicious Circle. But that's just my opinion. The A2 and B2 are 2 masterpieces, tracks like only Promo can produce them! Lost in the Bush is a statement against the president of the USA, as we can hear in the vocals of the track. Still this is a very good track in his style of nowadays! In the end I have to say that this release is definately a must-have for every hardcore lover.
