B side was one of the last contributions from guitarist Steve Hackett who left during the mixing sessions for the live album "Seconds Out" which documented the tour after the "Wind And Wuthering" album, which this song was originally submitted for. Steve later acknowledged that his leaving was partially in response to the lack of enthusiasm the other band members displayed for his songwriting (as evidenced by this great melody being relegated to the b-side of a single with no album placement).
