Notes
In the space of two years, Cheatahs released two albums – their self-titled debut and ‘Mythologies’ – as well as two EPs, ‘Sunne’ and ‘Murasaki’. They also toured extensively, but in February of last year vocalist Nathan Hewitt decided to stop touring with the band. “I needed to take some time to recover”, he says. “To be honest I thought I’d never want to play again”.But now, around a year and six months down the line, he’s returned under the new guise of Hypnotic Kingdom with the sunny yet contemplative ‘Would You Be There For Me?’.
In an attempt at a rediscovery of sound and self, "Would You Be There For Me?" is a 9 song album, which aims to reaffirm the therapeutic and restorative power that creating music can bring.
The album was mixed by Dean Reid in Los Angeles and the drums were played and recorded by Marc Raue in London, both former Cheatahs members. Everything else was recorded by Hewitt in London.
