Black discoloration is very common on light-colored vinyl (especially white vinyl). It's simply leftover color from a previous pressing and shouldn't have any influence on the sound.

Mine has a constant hiss throughout the album coming from the right speaker. Side B worse than A. I emailed newbury comics for an exchange. Lets see how it goes.

Mine has a very slight on. Its common to see this in small runs of colored vinyl. Often times leftovers from the batch of biscuits pressed before can get into the new batch leaving streaks in the batch if they are not the same color.
