I mailordered a copy of this comp awhile back just based on the list of band names featured. When I received it, I was a little disappointed because all the songs by the bands I knew had already appeared on LPs and 7"s that I already owned. But upon actually playing the record, I was pleased to discover at least one alternate take in this set. ("Just Want to Be With You" by White Wires appears here in a different version than is featured on their LP "WWII.") Also, the tracks by the bands I was not already familiar with turned out to be pretty great too and I've already added some of their titles to my wantlist. Overall, I'd say this compilation is a very well-curated sampling of the poppier side of contemporary punk and garage rock from the US and Canada.
