I bought this in summer 2003. My copy was a white label, but the sleeve is as pictured, with the correct serial number and the seal of NSC (the Detroit-based pressing plant which pressed the official edition) in the run-out groove. I wrote to the label and they confirmed that my copy was legitimate. Therefore there are likely to be others like it circulating too.

nipponese robots and kubi are brilliant. my favorite tracks on this LP. closer to the dopplereffekt stuff than the other tracks. i love all the blips and the eerie hook in the backround that comes in on nipponese robots. so sick. very metallic and stark in its sound. but the rising sun lp is great overall in its originality and diversity of sound composition. they stick to theme and appropriate a sound which i think is great. substance and sound!
