Great from start to finish. Really happy with this one. For a live recording this is such a nice quiet pressing.

My copy had a few locked grooves (two on the third disc, one on the fourth disc), but thankfully I was able to work them out and remove them through multiple plays during these parts. Could be quieter wax, but frankly the music dissipates any distractions. The mix is clean and sounds fantastic. Overall (aside from those locked grooves I had to deal with) I am now very satisfied.

Rarranere
My copy had some slight superficial markings on a few sides upon first opening. I was a little nervous. However, it sounds flawless. Great sound quality and a phenomenal performance. I would totally recommend.

mine is perfect after cleaning. sounds great, looks great; can't imagine the vinyl thickness is going to matter.

I experienced the same issues when I initially pulled them out of the package. However, a good cleaning with a couple of plays did the trick. The LPs are bright and the initial noisiness is completely gone. Very happy with this box!

Got my copy today, it's very noisy I can see small scratches everywhere going along with the grooves. Seems like a temperature issue at the plant with these 140g presses, but here's the major defect with my copy, on side 8 there is another side 7 label pressed directly into the grooves!!! Very bothering so getting this returned and probably buying last year's press.

There's a reason this show is considered to be one of, if not THE best show ever. This release certainly does it justice and is a must have for any deadhead. St Stephen > Not fade away > St Stephen in unmatched in my opinion. Hoping to hold onto this one for a long long time.

This is definitely a must have! My copy is clean and sounds immaculate except for a couple minor ticks. I'm hearing so many things on this show that just weren't there on my copy of this show on cassette! Glad this wasn't an RSD release. The production crew did a great job on this one!Ok, what's next?

Absolutely Awesome! The stereo separation of the musicians is unreal. Listening to Morning Dew you can place all of the musicians in the room. The only thing I can say is flawed about this is that it is missing the "Take A Step Back" part before Scarlet/Fire. I've still got my tapes if I want to hear that though. I have no clue why they didn't include that. Oh well. This is still worth every cent. A must for anyone Dead Head!

@radiogod - you are correct. They included the "step back" part at the end of side 5.

Alister
Yep, it's at the end of that side...I also wish it could have been right before they cranked into "Scarlet".

Tegore
Side 6 runs over 25 minutes which is pushing the capacity of a single side of vinyl - adding the take a step back segment would add unwanted seconds to the run time and potentially cause deterioration to the sound. (No reason they couldn't include it on the CD though...)

Pretty sure, it's still there, but they tacked it onto the end of Dancing.

I had pretty significant scuffing on side six, straight out of the box.

Aria
Anyone else have the loud pop/skip in They Love Each Other? its present in my and a buddy's copy - hoping a thorough spin clean removes it.

I believe I heard it last night when I was listening to it. I cleaned all sides before I played them too, although, that was the only significant pop I found.
