Oh my, words can’t describe this. This mix in not only near perfection – this is a perfect DJ mix. Every single song on this mix has its place, its meaning, its flow, its place in the universe. And every artist on this mix should be grateful for Rolando. Yes, the new generation hero from Detroit truly achieved his status as a DJ with this one. Detroit, it is not only a place. It’s a mental state of mind and this mix represents every aspect of it. Deep groovin’ house, gospel vibes and hard hitting techno. Sir, yes sir, that’s what we’re being served with. And it’s not only the selection that’s awesome. The mixing… I mean, send every Ableton, Traktor, whatever DJ to listen to this! Pure bliss. The highlights? Where to begin with? Terrence Parker with ’Love's Got Me High’ soon followed by a Detroit anthem by the man himself, ’Quetzal’ and then a true Detroit techno gem, the Aril Brikha remix of ‘Ignition Key’. Man, if you haven’t heard this, you have no idea how great a mix can be. Oh, and then soon later, some African vibes with Fabrice Lig remix of ‘Woualai’ followed by the best, truly mind blowing mixing with Vince Watson’s ‘Earthtones’, and after that absolutely grooving Rolando’s remix of ‘Working Night’. This is a sequence I’ve listened to millions of times and I never get bored with it. And the fun doesn’t end here. After that you get into some breakbeat techno and I love the way Technasia’s ‘Crrosswalk’ is included with Model 500’s ‘No Ufos’. Yes, truly brilliant. And then the whole journey ends with Jeff Mill’s ‘See This Way’ which is truly the highlight from Mr. Mills’ album ‘At First Sight’. No matter if you’re a house lover, techno head, or a Detroit purist, you do not want to miss this. An absolutely perfect mix, just so, so utterly great that I dare you to give me a better example how a Detroit mix could be executed. Rolando, I salute you – this is your finest hour and after this you have earned every bit of success that you have had.

I got this CD for Christmass and I have to say how addictive it is.An excelent combination of the Detroit Techno vs soul. Simply listen to "Love's got me high" and you'll see what I'm talking about. The mood created is uplifting but not too 'hyper' The beats are strong but they dont dominate the entire album. Highlights for me are Gene Farris "Show me a man" of course S.G.H.A. "Love's got me high" and for some awesome mixing I would say the transition between Track 11-12 WOW!! Powerful is prob the best adjetive to use here!! - Joe
