I've always been a sucker for records with oriental chanting and the first time I heard this I feel in love instantly. But it wasn't the original, it was the Bedrock remix. An intense driving piece of kit with a killer drop. I didn't even know about the original until a mate played it in a set and it was better than Digweed & Muir's effort. That initial jangly percussion loop provide an excellent backdrop for the lowslung bassline. Muir & Digweed did work the vocals a little better but other than that it has has nothing on it.Noted is that the "mysterious" vocals on this is actually the much used Ofra Haza acapella "Love Song" pitched down & reversed. Stacy Burket/Luzon would repeat the same trick for his next release "Manila Sunrise" where he used the other much plundered intro to "Im Nin Alu".

Classic. Other Baguio remixes end up turning the vocal into a pop song. This one preserves incredilble mystery and a haunting quality. The floor just busts when this kicks.
