Here's another record that I got back in the days. This particular one I got while I was way out in Suffolk County, Strong Island, spinning at a house party. Someone gave me two copies of this record, I couldn't tell you if it was the artist or not. I did rock it that night, I played the B-side cut. But I couldn't really do much with this record that night, because there are no dubs or instrumentals. It's too bad, because this was the type of record I could have used the instrumental with other records, like R&B accapellas. The A-side track is more of a dancefloor track. They used "Make The Music With Your Mouth Biz" as the main beat, but also used "Another One Bites The Dust" as a main loop. It also sounds like they used a loop from C&C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat". That, plus the sped up beat make this nice for the dance floor. There's a bunch of other samples on the A-side. There's Chuck D's "Bring That Beat Back" thrown around, a piece of Rainy Davis "Sweetheart" acapella, plus Earth Wind & Fire's "Brazilian Rhyme" as well. There's a James Brown sample, and I think I heard Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" too! The Title "Ya Drippin'" does not refer to a trip to the clinic or anything like that. They were trying to start a new phrase. Ya Drippin' as they used it means to backstab someone. Now the B-side track to me is better. More early 90's type hip hop here. The phrase "Yes It's The Original" comes from Slick Rick on "La-Di Da-Di". The Main beat is from "The Bridge". There's a bunch of other sample drops that I can't identify, but they hooked them up nice. If there was a dub for this track, the record would be more known. Outside of my two copies, I have never seen this record anywhere else.
