Notes
The PRINCE PATO EXPEDITION has been together for two years, specialising in Afro-Blues-Latin sounds, in that order. They were all born and reside in and around New York City.
This album varies in mood and tempo from numbers with a wild 'throbbing' beat to the haunting 'bluesy' feel of others.
Afro-Rock has becom very popular over the last few years and this group has dug more deeply into the actual roots, as surely African music is what the 'Blues' and 'Soul' progress from.
It's only natural they should all go together, and how well they do so.
Special jungle 'effects' add that touch of 'atmosphere' without defracting anything from the music. Not that the group needs any 'gimmicks', for all the members are seasoned musicians, as this album shows.
It is indeed an expedition into exciting cross-rhythms and sounds and one that's well worth listening to.
