This is one tight collection of songs. All these songs compliment the original PG versions. Consideration and thought were put into making versions that stand on their own. Highlights are Ambr.Sea's version of "San Jacinto" with its pleading emotion. Also Ryeland Allison's, "Big Time," takes us on a Tammy Faye Bakker meets David Byrne trip to a televangelist mega church without losing one's life savings in the process. Starting this sonic pleasure dome with "Shock the Monkey" is a stroke of genius. It dials down the volume as the song is dismembered and quilted to an Edward Scissorhands vibe. It's surprising that Re-Constriction Records didn't issue this collection as it is reminiscent of their sound. You've gotta hear this!
