Confused on this one. Purchased and it says to play at 33RPM. This makes the track about 85BPM (check the youtube video I posted). Also, this makes the vocal sample more recognizable. Sounds like an older native american male. Oakenfold obviously played this at 45RPM for the Global Underground New York at about 122BPM. Not sure what RPM was originally intended, but top tune regardless.

Ok, so I actually messaged Mystica about this. Looks like it was definitely supposed to be 120BPM and played at 45RPM. There goes my conspiracy theory, but I'm still banking on the vocal being a sped up native american male. Sounds too much like it at 33RPM ;)

Just saw the CD version list Mystica - Bliss as 6:35 long. That would indicate it was originally intended to be played at 45RPM. So the record has a misprint showing 33RPM, and the haunting female vocal is most likely a sped up Native American male vocal.

Yes, totally agree this is a wonderful set opening track and for many will rekindle the fond memories of oakey in his prime, and indeed one of the best global undergrounds mixes. My only gripe is that the track "bliss" just isn't quick enough and you have to pitch it right up to be able to mix something into it.

Bliss is only available here on the 2x12" promo and not on either album. An absolutely amazing down tempo almost ambient track worth owning. Beautiful.

Tribal like progressive house/trance, this is not quite as good as the 'Bliss' tune featured on Oakenfold's New York CD, but not far off.

Goa Psychedelic trance ....more like .. they never catered for the Prog house / Trance .. Xcabs remix was a huge let down .. as was his other remix that appeared on the Double pack ..
