Notes
In 2011 The Silence Kit released two EPs simultaneously on April 1st, each release an exploration of a distinct side of the band's sound. "The Stairs," originally planned as a single for "The Magician," consists of 4 concise, poppy, indie-rock songs, including a new version of the "The Magician."The other EP, "In Parts," is an edgier affair entirely, in which the band focused on capturing the darker side of their sound and their live energy. Comparisons to Factory Records' bands like Joy Division and A Certain Ratio scratch the surface but that inspiration is filtered through 80s and 90s indie rock like Fugazi, Archers of Loaf, Sunny Day Real Estate and more.
