It is brickwalled, but sounds a lot better than Death Magnetic did. For this release, i's say vinyl sounds best.

Fantastic pressing. Cracks, pops are nowhere to be heard. A modern Metallica classic taking their music (somewhat) back to their roots.

Vishura
my pressing is the best sounding of the Blackend releases I have, glad that Metallica went a bit back to the "old school" thrash, not their greatest, but certainly better than the last couple offerings

Really awesome pressing. Didn't hear a single crack or pop and sound quality is just amazing.

As I bought the Metallica - Hardwired..., I got from my record store a Metallica sticker, six badges and a helloween mask too. Are these pieces integrate part of the special edition? Does anybody knows something about this?

Terrible pressing. First off, my turntable plays records perfectly. Rarely does it ever skip, and it's generally the record's fault when a skip does occur. With that said; Purchased one copy, and it skipped like mad throughout each song on both discs. Sent in for a replacement, and this time, both discs were warped, and skipped even worse than the first copy. Third try, it skipped less than the previous two copies, but till skipped throughout most of the songs. I got a refund. I'm certainly never going to try from this pressing again.

I had the same problem, they told me to throw both copies away... same with my Master of Puppets, Black Album, and Death Magnetic. Blackened Recordings (Warner pressing plants, I believe) have the WORST quality control.

Superb pressing, not a single click or pop to be heard. Lacquer cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman's mastering studio and pressed at Pallas, great sounding release!

Is it going to be audibly superior? Because I have the US edition (green marble) and it sounds truly incredible, and easily one of the best records I've ever heard in terms of quality.

Yellow Judge
According to these numbers, the DR on the vinyl versions is ridiculously good compared to cd or even hi-res downloads: http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=MetallicaAlso it looks like the european pressing has slightly more dynamics than the us pressing.

im so happy to hear that. ill be getting mine soon. By the way how is the dynamic range because the cd is still very compressed.
