I listened to a reissue for years, and thought it was ok. Not great, but good enough. The low volume didn’t bug me too much, I just turned it up. But finally, after reading the comments on here I bought this original UK/Europe pressing. And there is indeed a very big difference in quality. Definitely worth the extra money.

My version has the sticker on the right corner. What does that mean? Everything else looks like this original version.

Mildorah
Doesn't sound that different to the CD. However, the sound is clear, balanced and punchy. Everything sounds hi-res and there is good instrument separation. Sounds teriffic on my Rega RP3 turntable. I recommend.

Not-the-Same
I got one from a third party seller on Amazon and it had seems pretty good so far, except for the stickers being on the wrong side and the grainy porn on the inside of the cover. When I drop the needle on "Side A", I get Into the Fade. I'll have to look at the catalog number. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an unlicensed reproduction, but I don't really mind.

I think the porn is supposed to be grainy cause it definitelly looks grainy on my NEW copy.

Today I found this with the "sharp cornered" sticker at a local store and picked it up. It sounds fine and the cover and labels look fine. Heafty vinyl too.

Sounds like the pressing I got too, from a local store. Wasn't sure about it. It sounds great, and everything else is quality, so even if it IS a bootleg, I don't even care, because it's fantastic!

Just a head up, folks. There is a brand new bootleg pressing of this (June 2014ish). Has the 000 000-0 catalog number on the back and on the white sticker on the front cover...I think it had it on the spine...a blank white spot on the back. Has "Don't make me beg, just f**k me" written really small on the back cover under the white line. Has "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" spine. So this is a really good bootleg look alike. The only way I could tell the difference is that the true original's hype sticker on the front cover has "rounded" corners. This new bootleg has 90degree sharp corners. I didn't open up the one I got as I realized this was not the real deal when I saw the corners of the sticker on the front cover. I don't know if it has the insert and I don't know how the sound quality is. People are trying to sell it under this listing...either unknowingly, or deliberately. Either way, make sure you are buying the real deal before you buy one from anybody...and if it is a sealed copy, be really skeptical.

This is the one you have:http://www.discogs.com/Queens-Of-The-Stone-Age-X/release/6323619You're also right....there is an unofficial one out there with rounded corners as well. That is a bootleg and has different matrix codes, and does not list the 000000 number on the sticker like the original does and like yours does. Then there is the version that is this listing. It has rounded corners and also lists the 000000 on the sticker. It is the original press from 2000 and has different matrix codes on the vinyl than either the bootleg with rounded corners or the one that you with the squared off corners. This album has never had an official re-release. All pressing that you find on Ebay and in record stores (my local record stores sell this one too and used to have the one with rounded corners) are all unofficial copies.

I have two copies of this and they are OFFICIAL ones.. from two different Finnish record stores that don't sell any illegal copies..and still my hype sticker are sharp corned no round. and matrix/deadwax is:B041493-01 A2 HLB041493-01 B3 HLI think the unofficial one has round corners.. these two can't anyway be illegal ones.. BECAUSE they are selling this with 20 $ at ebay right now and the sticker are round corned in everyone ! So please don't believe this sticker theory.. thats not the case

I just picked one up at Amoeba in LA. THey have a bunch of them. Retail: $32.98. Aside from the rounded corners of the hype sticker, I don't know how one could tell the difference - particularly after it's opened. The matrix runout is even the same as what's listed here - except for the last two characters. Instead of MK, I believe they read HL.

I've got a copy. I was expecting the worst but it's not that bad. It's a little quiet but not the worst album I own.
