doesnt Do You
Stellar drone/dark ambient piece. It's very difficult to pull off something this minimal, subtle variations, tonal changes etc are necessary, for a successful drone album. This also takes a lot of instinct on the part of the artist. Anyone into Andrew Chalk, Birchville Cat Motel, Thomas Koner and the like should give this a listen. 4.5/5

This is a single track one can get lost in very easily - which is my personal interpretation of the "Commonwealth" of Massachusetts connection, if you've ever driven in that state. I don't know how but every Murray record gets denser and simpler to listen to. "Not Now" was really inspiring, "Resting Places" had to be heard track-by-track in pieces for a while, but "Commonwealth" is the one I've been waiting for: not a collection of pieces to like or wrestle over, but a single piece I can get lost in over and over again and wonder what/how/why.
