GAZANIK
A record from the time when IDM meant a thing or two and was still self-exploring rather than self-exploiting. To the present day, there isn't much information out there about Loi Interceps. Somehow, the only information source seems to be this very album, lost in time but aging so gracefully. "Music For Movies" is an impressive collection of mood instrumentals, each on par with an imagined scene, adding a nice twist to the senses. Flirting with cyber-goth but using it to their advantage, the duo (if we're to judge from a sensually daring freeze-frame front cover shot) experiments bravely here, crossing the dark side but never exaggerates with its creepiness. The beauty of Loi Interceps lies in its suspense atmosphere - there is something lurking from within, like a dark kept secret better left alone but at the same time provoking curiosity to face the beast, without thinking what will become of you on the other end - a hero or a freak yourself.

I got this CD purely by accident years ago in a random lot on eBay. No artwork, no idea who this was: nothing. Let me tell you: there is no conventional way of describing this CD, BUT I will say this: IM ADDICTED to Dr. M. Imagine if you kidnapped Shakira, held her prisoner in a cellar somewhere, forced her to sing under extreme duress....and then...played it backwards to some eerie soundscapes plus some martial industrial in the background...yeah...buy this CD JUST for this track alone. I guarantee you there is nothing else like it.
