No electro, not even near. Just analog moog synth effects dubbed in the UK over some primitive sounding Jamaican mono (!) recordings (mostly by Lee Perry/Bunny Lee I guess). Doesn't make it less stellar though. Great album, but not really unique or anything inventive.
