Good double pack with plenty of choice and some solid tracks. From the piano driven Livin Large "Love Is What We Need", Grant Nelsons relaxed vibes of "In My Soul" or the more driving beats on The Banned Project "Back To The Future". If you like this then defiantly check out the other Nice 'N' Ripe release.

Today is the first time I'm hearing these classic house tracks and I love all of them! This is 2016 and these house tracks will make bodies move in any club worldwide guaranteed! One more thing I keep noticing with excellent house music is, music lovers are better off buying VINYL than CDS. The amount of house music are mostly on WAX anyway. So never give up your TURNTABLES!

don't get your hopes up about this one... there are good releases on Nice 'N' Ripe, but this isn't one of them. wall to wall stinkers - stick to the individual 12"s. seriously, consider yourself warned.

Used to have a copy of this back in the 90s but it didn't survive the record cull that I had at the turn of the century; came across a copy today and listened to all four sides again and have no regrets about chucking it out. Whilst I wouldn't use as forceful an expression as "wall to wall stinkers", I always used to head straight for the Ricky Suarez track, Jus 'A' Groove, it being the strongest cut on there. To a lesser degree, Grant Nelson's In My Soul got the occasional look-in but, Jus 'A' Groove is the nearest to deep house you're gonna hear on here. Having said that, this isn't meant to be a deep house compilation but is a good representation of what some of the DJs used to play on a London pirate radio station called Girls FM in the mid 90s although they tended to mix up the deep house with emerging sound of UK Garage to which these tracks lean. Although good, Jus 'A' Groove doesn't negate all the rest of the filler on this double-pack; these days, I'd just put on The Jones Girls - Nights Over Egypt from which Ricky Suarez cut the main loop for his track from.

i don't understand how you could say that and then say Nice n Ripe has better releases out there when half of the releases here blow almost anything else produced by the label out. Love Is What We Need (Grant Nelson Remix), In My Soul (Dubbed Out Mix), Tranced Out (Darkside Dub), and Tonite (As Ruff As U Like Dub) are beyond 5 out of 5 rating, they need a 10 rating!

I'd agree but "jus a groove" is a massive track!

If you have to look for 1 release that embodies the sound of UK house and the beginning of UK Garage, this is it. Nice N Ripe always delivers, and these tracks are the cream of the crop. Stand out track, and possibly my favorite garage track: Love Is What We Need (Grant Nelson Remix)

Binar
In my opinion, "Just a Groove" is the stand out track - a seriously laid back, funky groove, with spoken Spanish vocals over the top.

YES, indeed, my man. This track is the main reason why I'm buying the record!
